Carla Pinochet at the Ventanal Alameda Panel Discussion: Technofeudalism and Culture

CMUS's deputy director, Carla Pinochet, will take part in the panel discussion Ventanal Alameda: Technofeudalism and Culture, to be held on Tuesday, August 18, at the Library of Centro Cultural GAM. The other panelists are Rodrigo Durán (Manager of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence, CENIA) and Rosa Angelini (filmmaker and immersive sound designer). The panel will be moderated by Paloma Ávila (journalist and science communicator).

According to the organizers, this new session of Ventanal Alameda will discuss the erosion of cultural sovereignty in the face of algorithms that privatize our collective memory and shape our identity. The discussion will tackle one of the most urgent questions of the digital age: Is the algorithmic architecture of Big Tech a risk to the sovereignty of our local identities? An essential conversation on technological development and the safeguarding of cultural diversity in the face of the advancing digital monopoly.
